I just discovered this wonderkid, Gosha Rubchinskiy, a fashion designer and photograph from Russia. He has wooed the fashion industry in recent seasons with his post-Soviet take on streetwear. His garments are everywhere from high-end boutiques to street style galleries including cotton made track suits with geeky 90's reference. I am a slave to nostalgia and do often find myself wearing the same styles i did in my teenager years back in the 90's. I find myself loving each and every item in Gosha sporty nostralgia awkward universe.
Gosha latest work is part one of a three seasons collaboration with Adidas, started with a AW17 collection, presented in Russia last year. Here Gosha turned to soccer for inspiration, a adida's framed 90's football aesthetic, using iconic looks to symbolize unity, strength, and teamwork. I love the mix of the sensibley tailored plaid suit together with loose-cuttet sporty jackets and colorfull sweatpats. I am myself a fan of mixing a more elegant and dressed op items together with clothes with a sporty touch or geeky grandma style.
