Houseplants can bring both life and colors to an urban home. I really like having some green in my home but like you probably know it can be tricky to keep your plant alive. Being a beginner I would recommend starting with some easy plants to build up a watering routine (usually main course of plant death is over watering). It can be quite depressing being a plant serial-killer. 

These 6 plants I personally think are easy to care !

Pothos Aureum         

Scindapsus aureus

 

-Low light

-Easy to grow

-Don't water to much (need to dry between watering)

-Can grow in water or soil 

-(almost) Unkillable

Mother in Law's Tongue            

Sanservieria Trifasciata

 

-Any lighting condition

-Can go up to month without water

-Keep soil dry (better to underwater)

-Easy care!

Cactus

-Most cactus and succulent are easy to care.

-Not much water / once a month in winter

-Needs a lot of sun over summertime

-Soil dry between watering.

-Bright shaded light but can also stand in dark.

-Water once a week / less in winter

-Soil dry between watering

-The plant doesn't want to be moved.

Monstera

-Bright light but not direct.

-Keep on the dry side, 7-10 days between watering.

-Young leaf are without holes, split when older.
